Transition

Transition
By: Kathleen Monahan

Shades of green
Flow from afar
A warm breeze
Touches my face

Change is coming

The leaves begin
To become more fragile
The green softens on some
Two different branches
On the same tree
One speaks of the past
The other shows the future

Change is coming

It is all different now
The variety of oranges,
Yellows, reds, and browns
Are almost magical
There is a cool crisp
Chill in the air.
It is here.

  1. Hey, I like this poem, it's talking about the change right now , since we are in the season of fall and all the colors are changing of the leaves.

    The green softens on some
    Two different branches
    On the same tree
    One speaks of the past
    The other shows the future

    - The way it's two different branches on the same tree it's like they have two diff. lives, so in a way you like personified them and I like how it sounds, the past and the future.

  2. I like the contextual visual representation that is in the poem, it's very vivid and correlates good with the direction of it.
